Laura McKie
Chief Financial Officer
Laura McKie joined TFE in 1995 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer, Business Manager, and Controller. She has over two decades of experience within the Department of Energy industry. As one of TFE’s most senior members, Laura also serves as an unofficial TFE historian, as her knowledge of the company’s past provides valuable context for the company’s present and future. Laura serves as contracts administrator for more than $50 million in contracts at various U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) sites and commercial nuclear sites including Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, SC; East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP) in Oak Ridge, TN; Hanford Site in Richland, Washington; Waste Isolation Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, NM; San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS); and more. Laura’s numerous responsibilities include supervising Accounting and Human Resources staff; overseeing payroll, annual independent financial reviews, and 401(k) audits and reports; providing oversight for the company benefits package; developing company-wide budgets and preparing internal financial statements; ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR), Service Contract Act (SCA) and other federal and state laws and regulations; and much more. Laura has a B.S. degree in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of South Carolina.
