TFE provides a full suite of records management services to government and commercial clients. TFE built a customized records center in 2017, which gained U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) approval that same year. The records center is also NQA-1 compliant and provides adequate environmental controls. As such, the facility is approved to store federal records permanently rather than just temporarily.
Since July 2014, TFE has provided records management services to the Nuclear Waste Partnership LLC (NWP) in support of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP). WIPP is a deep geological repository near Carlsbad, NM for the safe, permanent disposal of transuranic (TRU) waste materials generated by atomic energy defense activities. TFE provides a compliant, fully integrated, accessible, and functional records management system for the storage of records from WIPP and generator sites.
TFE has implemented cost-effective process improvements within all areas of this subcontract, including storage efficiencies, electronic records management, and improved accessibility to electronic records. These records are digitized and uploaded into an Electronic Records Management System to allow for better retrieval of the information.
