Beginning in 2015, TFE has provided readiness preparation services to Flour Paducah Project (FFP). FPP is attempting to start up their first major project (uranium holdup removal) in a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility. This startup requires the successful completion of a DOE Operational Readiness Review which is a rigorous examination of all aspects of a hazardous project. TFE was brought in to lead the readiness effort and to guide the FFP team through the process.
In July, 2014, TFE began performing records management and storage services in support of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) located near Carlsbad, New Mexico. WIPP is a deep geological repository for safe, permanent disposal of transuranic (TRU) waste materials generated by atomic energy defense activities.
Since April 28, 2014, TFE has been managing the Oak Ridge Site-Wide Waste Transportation Project. TFE's project mission is to safely and efficiently transport multiple waste profiles from the UCOR Accelerated Cleanup Project sites, including the Y-12 Plant, East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP), and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
